Rules of the OPSD

1.0 Being A Primary Member

  1. Business must be locally based
    1. Incorporated in Singapore
    2. Exercise control and management in Singapore. Citizen or PR or been in Singapore 5 years.
    3. Perform high level work in Singapore
      1. remote working of development functions will be allowed
    4. Benefitaries are based in Singapore
  2. Generate at least $50,000 in revenue in a year
  3. Must be a principal or director of company
  4. Be in the business of software development or related services
  5. Specialize or be a niche player in software development
  6. May NOT include
    1. Affiliate, marketing only, local hub businesses, network marketing, agent of foreign saas company

1.1 Associate Member

  1. Locally based or with strong interest locally
  2. Positive benefit to the alliance
  3. Subject to approval of Management Committee ("MCO")

 

2.0 Member functions

  1. State a primary business and software development language known as a Core Stack (ie wordpress, ruby on rails) subject to approval by any member of the MCO
     
  2. Stay in their stated specialist languages and avoid crossing lanes

 

2.1 Referrals

 

2.1.1 Referral Fees and Process

  1. A soft referal, where the referer is not involved in negiotiations or using their reputation, otherless otherwise stated explicitedly. The Referer will get 7.5% of the gross sale
     
  2. A hard referral, where the referer is involved in negiotiations, has used their brand and assets to help close the transaction (example working as consultant) will recieved 15% of the deal.
     
  3. Members cannot refer to non-member outside the alliance. Work has to be conducted within the member company unless specifically granted permission by MCO.
     
  4. MCO reserves the right to allocate referrals or leads to members in fairness or for the benefit of the alliance.

 

2.1.1 Referrer on Whatsapp Group

  1. A referrer will state the requirement and tech stack language (ie Wordpress / PHP) when presenting a referral. If not provided the admin will request for it.
     
  2. Referrer must send a follow up message to prevent members from missing out on the referral.  
     
  3. A referreer (party that responds to a referral) will state their Core Stack and also any supporting reasons why they are the most suitable. (we can handle it. we specialize in Java)
     
  4. In the event of an unclear stack, the MCO may provide a referee for clarification on how to bid for a lead.
     

3.0 Warnings and Suspension

  1. Members can bring up complains against other members to the MCO
    1. MCO will review the issue and make a ruling to strike or not
       
  2. Members can be warned and suspended by the MCO for
    1. Not paying subscriptions
    2. Performing work by outsourcing and acting as a agent
    3. Not acting as a principal
    4. Not enough local content
    5. Unfair behaviour in referrals
    6. Not staying in Core Stack lane
    7. Not paying referral fees
    8. Not sending principals for meetings
    9. Behaviour untoward the alliance
    10. Behaviour untoward another member or the members business
    11. Not following the rules of the alliance
       
  3. The three strike rule will be in effect
    1. Any MCO member can issue a strike or warning (pre strike)
    2. Two members together can issue a direct 3 strike
    3. Three strikes in a calender year period will result in suspension from the whatsapp group and membership list
       

4.0 Management Committee

  1. Will consist of 3 member companies with may or may not include a permanent member
